PHASE QUANTIZATION EFFECT ON THE QUALITY OF THE SPIRAL BEAM

The diffractive optical element phase quantization effect on the quality of the synthesized light field as the approximation of spiral beam is considered. The problem is solved in terms of numerical experiment. The results show that number of phase levels from 4 up to 16 is useful for experimental applications and in the case of binary phase plates the beam loses its spiral structure.

DISSIPATIVE DYNAMICS OF NONDEGENERATE TWO-PHOTON JAYNES—CUMMINGS MODEL IN A FINITE-Q CAVITY

In this work the temporal behavior of a two-level nondegenerate atom in a finite-Q cavity is considered. The analytic expressions for mean photon number and atomic populations are obtained on the basis of master equation solution for initial vacuum field state. The observable dynamics is investigated for coherent initial field state and squeezed initial field state for various system parameters values. The field mode statistics is considered.

NONLINEAR RESONANCE IN A STRING RESONATORNONLINEAR RESONANCE IN A STRING RESONATOR

Nonlinear oscillations of a string in an electromechanical resonator are analyzed by theoretical and experimental methods. An effect of nonlinear resonance in the system is observed. A mathematical model of the string resonator in the form of nonlinear integro-differential equation containing partial derivatives and allowing string tension strength variation while oscillating is devised. A transition of the obtained equation in single-mode approximation into Duffing’s equation is demonstrated. Theoretical modelling and the experiment results are compared.

CORRELATION OF LONGITUDINAL AND CROSS RESOLUTIONS OF THE QUASI-DEGENERATE FOUR-WAVE RADIATION CONVERTER

Approximate expressions for longitudinal and cross resolutions of the quasi-degenerate four-wave converter of radiation are obtained. It is shown that the ratio of longitudinal to squared crosses resolutions of the quasi-degenerate four-wave converter of radiation has a stationary value. It is also independent on position of optimal focus plane of the signal wave.
