L.V. Gluschenko, R.A. Zainulin, I.D. Fedorchenko RESPIRATORY EFFECTS OF GABA MICROINJECTED INTO THE SUPRABULBARY STRUCTURES Microinjections of GABA to the striatum, red nucleus and cortico-medial amygdala influenced to the respiratory pattern in rat. Breathing was mainly stimulatedafter GABA administration to the amygdala but inhibited after GABA administration to hte parvo-cellular part of red nucleus. Effects of GABA administration to the striatum depended on the microinjection. An involvement of GABA-ergic suprabulbary mechanisms in the respiratory control is supposed. O.A. Grigorovich INDIVIDUAL AND TYPICAL PECULARITIES OF GASTRIC AND PANCREATIC SECRETIONS Gastric and pancreatic secretions was studied in athletes and subjects not involved in sports activity. The results demonstrate differences in the gastric and pancreatic secreting function in subjects of the chest and muscular somatotypes. Differences were found in the dynamics of the gastric gland response to enteral and parenteral introduction of a stimulant. The inhibitory effect of hydrochloric acid was elicited only in subjects with the chest type body build. It was show that inhibition of acid secretion depends on the specic features of sports activity in subjects of the muscular somatotypes. D.G. Krasnov, A.N. Inyushkin THE FUNCTIONAL ROLE OF THE NUCLEUS RAPHE OBSCURUS IN THE RESPIRATORY CONTROL We studied the effects of electrical stimulation of nucleus raphe obscurus (nROb) on phrenic (Phr) and external intercostal muscles (EI) electromiograms in anaesthetised spontaneously breathing rats. Stimulation of nROb (0.1 ms, 20-80 microA, 100 Hz, 5-30 s) produced inhibition of bursting inspiratory activity. A significant lengthening of the interbursting interval was observed, whereas bursting time and integrated Phr and EI amplitudes were only slightly influenced in both right and left Phr and EI. Stimulation of nROb by a high current intensity (200-300 microA) produced a complete cessation of Phr and EI activities. The involvement of nROb in the respiratory control is discussed. N.A. Merkulova, L.I. Sergeeva, Y.V. Ivanova The microinjections of cholin-active substanses into dierent parts of the nucleus ambiguus were carried out in acute experiment in nonlinear rats. The analysis of the external interrib muscles reaction observed during this experiment allowed us to reveal some specific pecularities of the mediator orientation of nucleus ambiguus parts of the left half of the respiratory centre and pecularities of the efferent connections of each part with the respiratory muscles motor centre of the homo- and contra-lateral halves of the medulla oblongata. We also revealed functional differenses between the structures of the left nucleus ambiguus displaied in their influence at the effector level. E.S. Selezneva, I.V. Kissa, E.I. Tengaev, E.A. Poletaeva, Z.P. Belousova, P.P. Purygin, Y.P. Zapubin After the action of different azoles and their derivatives on Drosophila melanogaster larvae, some changes were detected in the composition of hemolymph free amino acids, using the thin-layer chromatography method. Pool changes have been discovered to depend not only on the properties of the substances being tested, but also on their concentration. |
