NON-STATIONARY VIBRATION OF AGING VISCOELASTIC ROD

In the present study an experimental technique for estimation of internal friction in viscoelastic aging material is developed. In the course of the experiment the dynamical reaction of rotating bending rod caused by non-stationary loading is determined. The mathematical model of the experiment is discussed in two variants: refined technical theory of viscoelastic rod, taking account of the inertia of section rotation; and Timoshenko theory, taking account of the shear strain. The spectral analysis of corresponding pencils generated by non-self-adjoined differential operators is given, the spectral decompositions of displacements of rod, made from time invariant viscoelastic and linear aging materials, are obtained.
