THE ECOLOGY OF THE RED FOX IN THE VICINITY OF SAMARA AND THE ANTHROPOGENOUS FACTORS EFFECT

In the paper the problem of the red fox adaptations is studied. The habitat characteristics of the environment in anthropogenous conditions is given. Ecological features of food-searching, changing the feeding territory, passive defensive behavior, the configuration of individual sites are considered.

BIOLOGY OF PROSTATE-SPECIFIC ANTIGEN

Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) is a serial protease produced by both prostate epithelial cells and prostate cancer (PCa) and is the most commonly used serum marker for cancer. This review outlines the basic biology of PSA with a focus on aspects that are relevant to its uses in PCa and a possible role in PCa pathogenesis.

NEURAL NETWORK ANALYSIS IN PROSTATE CANCER DETECTION

Recently artificial neural network (ANN) models for cancer detection have been developed. The usage of ANN in clinical practice increases the prostate cancer (PCa) detection accuracy and allows to avoid unnecessary biopsies. This new strategy of PCa detection allows significantly improve the quality of this disease detection, and so considerably reduces the number of unnecessary biopsies.
